Copaifera reticulata, officinalis, coriacea, and langsdorffii

Copaíba essential oil is derived from the resin of the Copaíba tree, which is found in tropical South America and can reach over 30 meters in height. doTERRA Copaiba essential oil is extracted from four plant species: Copaifera coriacea, C. langsdorffii, C. officinalis and C. reticulata. Since the 16th century, it has been used in traditional practices of the natives of the North and Northeast of Brazil, and is now widely used in the making of cosmetics, including soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes. Copaíba essential oil can be diluted with a facial moisturizer or doTERRA Carrier Oil and applied to the skin.

Uses

  • For topical application, mix with doTERRA Carrier Oil or a facial moisturizer to help keep skin clear.

Directions for Use

For topical use, apply 1 to 3 drops diluted in doTERRA Carrier Oil on the skin, in the desired area. 
For aromatic use, place 3 to 4 drops in a diffuser.
