What's Inside?

Bergamot Mint

This essential oil comes from a flowering, perennial herb with violet flowers and heart-shaped leaves. A sun-loving plant, sometimes called orange mint, Bergamot Mint is a member of the Lamiaceae or mint family. Similar to Lavender, Bergamot Mint’s major constituents linalool and linalyl acetate have shown in various essential oil studies to help manage occasional restlessness. Perfect for diffusing after a hard day or at bedtime, it can also be added to Fractionated Coconut Oil for a comforting and soothing after-workout massage. Bergamot Mint’s lavender-like, minty aroma complements a warm bath and makes it more relaxing. This versatile oil clears the air of unpleasant odors and can even be used as a surface cleaner.

Peppermint

The peppermint plant is a hybrid of watermint and spearmint and was first described by Carl Linneaus in 1753.

A high menthol content—like that found in the doTERRA Peppermint essential oil—distinguishes the best quality Peppermint from other products.

Peppermint oil has been traditionally used in Aromatherapy to relieve cough, support mental function and help relieve the symptoms of mild tension headache.

In traditional Western herbal medicine, Peppermint oil has been taken orally to relieve abdominal discomfort, relieve nausea, relieve vomiting, relieve symptoms of sore throat, relieve mild throat inflammation and applied orally (directly to the mouth cavity) to relieve toothache.

Spearmint

Spearmint is a perennial plant that grows 11–40 inches tall and flourishes in temperate climates. It is widely used in gums, candies, and dental products for its minty taste, and to promote fresh breath. Spearmint has been used internally for centuries for its healthy digestion benefits. Its sweet, refreshing aroma is uplifting, making it ideal to diffuse while working or studying. In cooking, Spearmint is frequently used in salads, drinks, and desserts, but it can also be used in homemade salad dressings and to marinate meats.
