Echinacea

Echinacea purpurea

Echinacea, also known as the 'purple coneflower', has long been utilised for wellness. Similar to Ylang Ylang, Echinacea essential oil is high in germacrene-D and beta-caryophyllene. The uses and applications of echinacea date back to early indigenous peoples who cherished and celebrated the capabilities of the flower. Historically, the plant was used for medicinal purposes, from aiding air flow to treating toothaches. Topically, the oil can be used to support the skin and may possess a cleansing effect. In the skincare industry its used for its earthy, herbaceous notes and overall mild, floral aroma.
