Copaiba essential oil is derived from the resin of the Copaiba tree, which is found in tropical South America and can reach a height of over 30 meters. Copaiba doTERRA essential oil is extracted from 4 species of plants: Copaifera coriacea, C. langsdorffii, C. officinalis and C. reticulata. Since the 16th century, this oil has been used in traditional practices by the natives of the North and Northeast of Brazil.
